I’m Rhonda Orr, and I was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines in the late 1970s and early 80s … when there was an Eastern Airlines.
When I graduated the Eastern training program, my
wings were pinned on by Apollo 8 astronaut Frank Borman, the CEO of the airline.
I flew thousands of miles aboard Eastern aircraft, and my favorite (with the exception of the poorly-designed galley elevator) was Lockheed’s L-1011.
Later, I flew as a flight attendant for Western Airlines, another company that’s been absorbed in a merger.
